There will be a secured drop box at the Armory during Early Voting hours where neighbors can deposit their mail-in ballots. In previous years the Edgewater Library was our Early Voting site, but the Armory will provide a safer and more spacious environment, following COVID-19 public health guidelines and allowing for an anticipated high turnout. Broadway, Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 7pm and Saturday-Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Click here for more information.Įarly Voting begins in the 48th Ward on Wednesday, October 14. The Early Voting site in our community is the Broadway Armory, 5917 N. Take a look at this interactive map highlighting the different art installations, and enjoy this weekend’s nice weather by exploring the outdoor exhibit. As we are nearing the end of a challenging year, this initiative helps us remember that we are part of a supportive and connected community, and offers a chance to reflect on our shared values of unity, seeking to understand our neighbors, and supporting local businesses. Yesterday I joined the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce and local artists at the Chicago Mosaic School for the kick-off of Reflections: An Edgewater Art Experience. Reflections is a month-long community-wide public art exhibition, in partnership with Paint the City and Urban Art Restart, with more than 20 installations in windows throughout the Edgewater business district.
